On the the 17th of March, the Qld Government announed a loans package of $500 million for Qld Businesses to support them through the economic hardships that the Coronavirus will bring on.
It is an interest free loan for the first 12 months, to support Queensland businesses impacted by COVID-19 in order to retain employees and maintain their operations.
There are very little details available about the loans, but from I can gather is that after 12 months, it will revert to a low interest facility over a determined period of time.
The Qld government agency administering these loans is QRIDA.
On the 20th of May, QRIDA accepted expressions of interest from those people/business who would be interested in these loans , and I took the liberty on behalf my clients to register interest in these loans during the day.
On Saturday(the 21st) I received word that our registration was successful and that applications would be open mid to late this week.
Upon which time the application process opens and I can review what information is required and what exactly the process is , I will then send out another email to you all to explain this process so we can understand exactly what is required and seek to take next steps.
